Welcome!! I’m so glad you landed here on the Your Midlife Madness site. We love to laugh here, and among the madness of everyday cray cray, we like to chat about staying young, being active, taking care of our aging body, keeping our house organized, our kids, and especially our grandchildren. Yes, we cover pretty much everything here, oh, and I almost forgot FOOD! Of course we cover food, healthy and the fun stuff.
Take some time to look around the site in the different pages and peruse the different posts in the categories in the menu above.
I started a fitness blog in 2015, Fit Found Me, that helped women over 40 lose weight while making their health a priority again.
This site was started to have fun sharing everyday joys of midlife with you.
So, here’s a little about me…
I’m Stephanie and my husband is Andrew. We have been married since 2013.
We live outside of Raleigh, NC, but have kids scattered from coast to coast. We have a blended family of 7 kids, 4 who are married, 2 teenagers at home, 3 golden retrievers and 1 horse.
Here are our 3 grandchildren, Evie, Dean and Rhett.
My hobby outside of my family is riding horses. It’s a childhood passion that was rekindled in my early 40s after my husband passed away with ALS.
I was a stay at home mom for over 20 years, but we are never JUST stay at home moms, right?
We homeschooled for several years, have always been very involved in our church, and of course had all of the boring, normal activities like cooking, cleaning, etc.
Organization and being clean has always been important to me, but I have learned to do it much more efficiently to make time for the more fun things. Gone are the days of spending hours a day cleaning and cooking.
I love to eat, but cooking isn’t enjoyable anymore nor can it be all carbs anymore, so it’s quick and healthy for the most part now.
I hope you will make yourself comfy here on the website. You can find a variety of topics here to help you get through the midlife madness. Beauty tips, easy, quick (and mostly) healthy recipes, even thrown together meals I am sure Martha Stewart would throw out the window – but it’s what we eat most of the time, topics around family, pets, and some form of fashion I attempt to find.
Don’t miss the programs that have helped women like us get back into shape again and reach their health goals through weight loss, increased energy, balanced hormones, and better sleep.
